SubjectPlease deny Naperville Ridge, Case No. DEV-0167-2025 — preserve the 75th Street woods

Dear Mayor Wehrli and Members of the City Council,

As a [Naperville resident / neighbor], I ask you to vote no to the proposed annexation and PUD for the “Naperville Ridge” development on 75th Street (Case No. DEV-0167-2025).

This is 32 acres of publicly owned oak forest and is home to the state-threatened Black-Billed Cuckoo, endangered Northern Long-eared Bat, and proposed-endangered Tricolored Bat. The plan proposes to destroy roughly 1,000 or more mature trees and would affect multiple sensitive wetlands. Only 17% of DuPage County’s original oak forest still stands. We need to protect our precious natural resources.

I urge you to (1) deny the annexation and PUD; (2) work with the Forest Preserve to preserve this land; and (3) require a full and complete environmental assessment of tree and wetland data before considering any development, including this one.

Thank you for protecting our [environment, sensitive species, woodlands and wetlands].
